The details of how the accident occurred were not reported, however, the officer reportedly struck the vehicle driven by the mother head-on.
The man could reportedly face additional charges once the investigation has been completed, but currently he is only facing charges for carrying his firearm while under the influence and for drunk driving. In addition to the possibility of more criminal charges being filed, the man could also face legal action from the family of the women who were killed. The victims’ family could choose to file a civil lawsuit seeking financial compensation for medical expenses resulting from the treatment the daughter received prior to passing away, as well as for funeral costs for both women.
