Dorothy J. Diaz-Hennessey
Dorothy Diaz-Hennessey joined the firm as an associate in 2017. She is a litigator whose practice focuses on personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, wrongful death, catastrophe injury, and premises liability cases pending in Connecticut’s state courts. Dorothy has been selected as a Connecticut ‘Rising Star’ (2020-2024).
Dorothy graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2017 with Honors. While in law school, Dorothy was the Managing Editor of the Connecticut Public Interest Journal, Secretary of the Latino Law Student Association, and Outreach Coordinator of the Women’s Law Student Association. She was awarded the Bessye Bennett Scholarship, the Honorable Herbert Barall Family Law Award, and Connecticut Scholar. She also completed the Human Rights certificate program. Dorothy received her B.A., magna cum laude, in Sociology from the George Washington University in 2014.
Dorothy spent a year working for the Center for Children’s Advocacy in Hartford while in law school. She also spent a summer working as a law clerk for a business litigation firm in Bridgeport and a summer working as a certified legal intern at the Public Defender’s Office in Hartford.
