1 dead, 3 injured after New Haven car accident

Firm News On Thursday, May 16, 2013

There are those that believe that their reckless driving has no effect on anyone but themselves. This is a dangerous attitude that could not be farther from the truth. When one driver operates his or her vehicle in a dangerous manner, it puts everyone on the road at risk of serious injury and even death. Driving an automobile is a responsibility that should be taken seriously, and drivers need to be aware of the risks associated with distracted or reckless driving.

A fatal accident that occurred recently in New Haven, CT illustrates exactly what can happen when someone drives erratically. Police Officers attempted to pull over a vehicle that had run a run a red light and was driving recklessly. Authorities lost track of the car until they responded to crash and found it in the middle of the accident scene.

Four adults who were involved in the accident were transported to medical facilities where one of them, a 29-year-old woman, died after being in a coma. The other three are in serious condition.

Two cars were involved in the collision that caused a power outage in the area after one of the cars crashed into a utility pole. It is not known exactly what caused the crash, and authorities are still investigating.

Authorities say that charges could be forthcoming, but it may be weeks and even months before they are filed. In the meantime, those injured in the crash and the family of the deceased may wish to hire an attorney to help them recover damages for their medical bills and pain and suffering.
