For more than 25 years, Michael has been advocating successfully for clients in a broad range of litigation matters including the trial of personal injury, wrongful death, product liability, insurance coverage and business disputes. Michael has also served as a court-appointed arbitrator for the Connecticut Superior Court and has acted as a Special Master in the United States District Court, a reflection of his substantial litigation experience, accomplishments and reputation in the Connecticut legal community. He maintains an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating reserved for attorneys with pre-eminent legal ability and ethical standards.
Michael is also recognized as one of the leading neutrals in Connecticut. He has spent many years resolving cases on referral, helping parties evaluate claims and avoid prolonged and costly litigation. Private institutions, individuals and the courts have consistently sought his assistance in settling civil cases, both as a mediator and arbitrator.
In addition to being a member of the litigation department at Loughlin FitzGerald, P.C., Michael has served for many years as Assistant Corporation Counsel for the Town of Hamden. In this capacity he advises town boards and commissions on litigation and other municipal law issues.
Michael graduated from Boston College, magna cum laude, in 1981. He graduated from Emory University School of Law in 1984. Michael resides in North Haven, Connecticut with his family.
