J. Timothy Deakin (Tim) practices in several areas of the law including but not limited to real estate, business law, contracts, probate administration, wills and trusts and commercial law. His real estate practice includes representing sellers, purchasers, landlords and tenants in residential and commercial transactions.  Having represented clients in thousands of real estate transactions, he is called upon by his clients to evict tenants, foreclose mortgages and pursue other remedies in court for his real estate clients. Tim also has experience in incorporating businesses, forming limited liability companies and other business entities. He has also represented buyers and sellers of businesses.  In addition to his law practice, Tim is an Adjunct Professor in the Justice and Law Division of the Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University where he teaches commercial law.  He serves as an officer and a director of the McClosky Family Foundation, Inc. which is a non-profit corporation dedicated to assisting people with spinal cord injuries. He is also a volunteer with the Coalition for Suicide Awareness Brookfield ACTS, Inc.

Tim and his wife Deirdre live in Brookfield, Connecticut . They have six children and three grandchildren.
